Spotify — sad sides of ambient
aallonpituus is an independent editorial project created to help artists find their audience (currently limited to the ambient genre and available only on Spotify).
Aika searches for artists, adds them to a database, and then includes them in curated playlists. AI releases won't be added, but it's becoming harder to determine what is and isn't an AI.
The audience for these playlists is grown through advertising funded by Aika’s own streaming royalties.
If the project goes well, other streaming services and a wider range of genres (such as experimental rock, post-rock, etc.) will be added.
